The ever moving tectonic plates

The ever moving tectonic plates

444 – 247 million years ago

From 444-247 million years ago, the Satun Geopark terrain remained submerged, as evidenced by the fossils of many ancient sea creatures in rock layers from different periods.

During that time, since tectonic plates were always moving around, the Satun Geopark terrain that was once in the southern hemisphere shifted further and further into the northern hemisphere.
