Today, in addition to being a spectacular natural attraction recognized at the international level, Satung Geopark has become a learning center about geology, fossils, ecosystems, and paleontology.
Community groups craft products with their local wisdom combined with raw materials found in the geopark. This fosters a connection with the area’s geological heritage, creating jobs for the locals who gain income and improve the quality of their lives from geological tourism.
