How to get to Satun Geopark\
Drive along Royal Highway No. 41 to Amphoe Thung Song, Changwat Nakhon Si Thammarat. Then change to Royal Highway No. 403 until you reach Changwat Trang before switching to Royal Highway No. 404 and 416 all the way to Amphoe La-Ngu in Satun Geopark.
By public bus
At the Mo Chit Bus Terminal in Bangkok, board the bus heading to Amphoe La-Ngu, Changwat Satun. The travel time is approximately 13 hours, totaling 773 kilometers. Public buses are available from 7:00-16:40 hrs.
Board the Bangkok-Hat Yai train and disembark at Hat Yai Railway Station, Changwat Songkhla, or board the Bangkok-Gan Tang train and disembark at Kantang Railway Station, Changwat Trang. Then continue by taxi, public van, or public bus to Amphoe La-Ngu.
Board a flight to Trang Airport or Hat Yai Airport then continue by taxi, public van, or public bus to Amphoe La-Ngu. The flight takes approximately 1.30 hours plus an additional 1-1.30 hours on land to reach Satun Geopark.
“Satun Geopark” was announced as a national geopark in November 2016, covering an area of 2,597.21 square kilometers. It is a site with outstanding geological features of international value and is managed with a holistic concept of protection, education, and sustainable development. Through Satun Geopark’s geological heritage, the area’s natural heritage, cultural heritage, and way of life are all connected together in a way that boosts understanding and awareness of the value of our land.
